we attempted to reschedual for you, but apparently the only one we could not inform was in fact you... we decided to play anyway, and billy rotated who he called to the stand, so cergan was not Primarily needed as we delivered information, thought cergan did roll a 48 on one diplomacy check so far.

After that, we went for the second day and things didn't go so well, we were talking about hergstag and the crowd got really rowdy, we decided to stay at the courthouse in case the crowd decided to take matters in their own hands, they did, and when we left off we were preparing to defend the courthouse against a horde of angry citizens.

This post is regarding the idea of staying in this town for some time....while I know this is an in-character matter that needs resolution I thought I would jump-start it and get people thinking about it.
This came up when I actually looked up how long it takes to craft armor: The Craft DC for mithral armor is DC 20 (because all mithral armor is masterwork) across the board unless you are somehow crafting armor with an AC value higher than 10 so I will be referring to that DC for reference. Assuming the highest level crafter is level 7, (if there is an armor-smith that high, I am trying to calculate using the best possible scenario) is a Gnome, has an int of at least 14,(I could have used a lesser value for this but again best case scenario without being unrealistic) and has masterwork tools(only added this because I want everyone to know where all the mods I am using are coming from....I am guessing any smith worth his salt has this) he would come out with a craft mod of 16.
The progress on armor is calculated with this formula: (Craft Check Result)*(Items Craft DC)=Progress in Silver Pieces PER WEEK......
Thus for something as simple as a breastplate we come up with this (taking 10 or basically averaging rolls) 26*20=520sp/week The GP value of a Breastplate is 200GP or 2000SP .........2000/520=3.85 Remember this is in weeks
I believe both Cergan and Robert are looking at having Agile Breastplates made .....Which are 400GP potentially taking up to 8 weeks each ......While I (Cergan) don't need this Item as much as Robert we could both afford to have higher AC.
As far as I can tell we have two options going forward if we want to obtain these suits of armor. We can wait in town for between two and four months to have them crafted, or we can put in the orders now and come back at a later date when they are finished. I am also considering chainmail which would lower the crafting time considerably due to the reduced cost. (seems counter intuitive for chainmail to take less time to craft than a breastplate in my opinion but the crafting time is directly linked to the GP value of the armor)

please disregard my previous post....basically did all my calculations as if a player was crafting the armor alone and didn't account for an armor shop having multiple smiths with apprentices.

You also got lucky and the armor you wanted was there already.

Just letting you guys know I've decided to play a (incredibly handsome) sorcerer and attempt to give him plenty of long ranged nukes.
